Alexander Sommer becomes new CEO of DSwiss AG

DSwiss AG is initiating the next growth phase of the IT company with the appointment of Alexander Sommer as of September 1, 2023.

As part of its growth strategy, DSwiss AG has further strengthened its management team. Alexander Sommer (41) is a technology expert with almost two decades of experience in successfully scaling as-a-service companies. "We are delighted to have Alexander Sommer as the company's new CEO to complement our newly established leadership team of long-standing DSwiss employees for the next phase of the company's evolution," says Chairman of the Board Hans Oury. Burkhart Böttcher (CEO a.i. / CFO) will once again focus entirely on his role as CFO. Tobias Christen, co-founder and former CEO, will remain with the company as a member of the Board of Directors.

SaaS expert with many years of experience

"With his international experience, his broad expertise and his clear philosophy on how to set up successful software-as-a-service companies, Alexander Sommer is predestined to successfully develop DSwiss further," Hans Oury continues. Prior to DSwiss, Alexander Sommer was CFO and COO at the travel booking platform Nezasa. He also held various strategic positions at the technology group Rackspace, where he successfully helped shape the rapid global scaling of the company for over a decade. "I am very much looking forward to working with our highly committed team to further drive the development of our SaaS portfolio and the organization and thus make our existing and future customers successful in the long term with market-leading solutions," said the new CEO.

Focus on further development of the product range

DSwiss specializes in highly secure cloud solutions that protect the sensitive information of over 10 million end users.
